A detail of Urd from the Ah My Goddess piece ([link])

I recently framed this for my friend and was able to fix one of the things I wanted to do, but didn't have time when I gave it to her: I was able to string the harp Urd is playing.

The strings are not paper, but black cotton thread strung on a a piece of 2 ply museum board and fixed in place behind the harp frame. A small detail, but I am really happy I got the chance to put this final detail on this piece.

Shoot for the moon, and if you miss, at lest you're not stuck on Earth anymore.
A lovely piece, the detail is superb and the finished work is amazing....lucky friend!!
Thank you both! I am really happy I was able to finish this piece and am pleased with the end result. I had to make the string portion of the harp without the original piece and hope it fit. Luckily, I kept some reference and it worked.
That's great! You must be so pleased to have finally been able to add the finishing touch to this amazing piece. I'm loving that this new detail gives us an even closer look at Urd. Have you given back the piece yet? Would you consider posting detail shots of Skuld and Belldandy for us to drool over?
Thanks! I returned the piece yesterday; she was very happy with it. I hadn't planned on posting any other details of this piece and probably won't now that it is gone.
Amazing!
I love the hands with the instrument- the perspective you make with these paper sculptures is just wild- amazing detail.
Thanks! When I first gave it to my friend I didn't have the time to string the harp, so the hand seemed a little out of place. I'm really glad I got the chance to fix that.

I love to put detail in my work, I think it adds to the effect.

Thank you for all the comments.
amazing. you are really blowing my mind with the details you put into your pieces. you are an excellent "gluer" too. they are seamless.

...and definitely this: [link]
Thanks. Details make these pieces. I was really happy I got the chance to sting the harp on this piece, it didn't look right without the strings. Gluing came from practice, lots and lots of practice.
