Wonder Woman done as a hostess gift for a friend of mine when she hosted a party recently. She is a huge fan of superheroes and has multiple superhero ornaments. Wonder Woman is her favorite, so Wonder Woman she got.

This piece is small, about 5"x5" and is made from Canson and Canford papers. As a bit of perspective, the highlights in her eyes are about the size of a 14pt Times New Roman period. When working at this scale, the thickness of the paper can work against you and some of that happened here. I notice it mostly on the two shades of paper making up her skin tone. I don't think it looks bad, just that it seems a little more clunky than I would have liked.

A note about the background. Remind me to never do that again! It was an elbow killer and a huge problem to secure down.

Wonder Woman copyright DC Comics.

The detail on this is marvelous. And while I totally understand why the background was problematic, it really does accent the piece brilliantly!

This looks great! Great color choices in the skin tones. The background is definitely working for me. That kind of a starburst would be prime for scissors--save the elbow next time! :)

Thanks so much! I do like how it came out overall. I wish the background was a little more even, but I do like it. I'm not sure how I would do with scissors. Knowing me, I would have the same problem. Stoopid death grip that I have....

I am always amazed when I see a piece of your work. You must be very handy with scissors and glue.
