Artist's Comments

Another paper sculpture of Beauty & The Beast, this time out in the snow feeding the birds. This piece was done for one of my sisters, I think for Christmas, but it may have been for a birthday.

This piece is a mix of Canson and Canford papers. I think the only Canford is Beast's purple cloak; Canson doesn't make a good purple. This piece is approximately 4" x 5" and is entirely made of paper (no painted eyes this time).

I had forgotten about this piece until this past weekend when my sister called me. The piece needs some repairs, the supports for the mat have worn out and the mat board is bent as is the backing for the sculpture. I'm also going to take the opportunity to replace the mat as the divot in the oval by Beast's knee is mocking me.....

You are always so good to me. Everytime I see this image I get the song stuck in my head for a bit. That and that infernal teacup asking "What's there?" (Not a big fan of Chip).

Thank you very much.
