How do you like it how do you like it?

Personally I like it often.

Glass class ended three weeks ago, but I had so much fun that I signed up for three more sessions. I did like the last few pieces I made, but I felt I could do better, so I took more classes. So far I‘ve taken two of the three sessions and have made a paperweight, vase and some bowls, but the weather has been uncooperative, so I haven’t been able to get pictures of all the pieces yet.

I have only one class left and hope to make a small creamer/pitcher to replace the orange one in my gallery that won’t hold water. Beyond that, I’m not too sure what I want to make so I need to do some sketching so I can make the most of the last session.

Once this class is over, I’m hoping to take an Illustrator course or maybe ceramics or maybe watercolor. I’d like to try all three, but not at once. Luckily, I’ll have the summer to figure that out.

Your work is very cool. I love the Disney princesses the most; all those little details must have been a pain!

You are shaped by your experiences and the people you know; still, it is what you *do* with these tools that define you.

Thank you so much! The details can be a bit difficult to deal with at times (some of the pieces of paper are *really* tiny), but the details are also part of what I love about the process.

Your work is amazing! I love your gallery and what you've done.

I know this is tacky but, I'm offering Commissions! [link]

Thank you very much!

Thank you so much for suggesting my piece as a DD!!! I am so thrilled! It's an even better treat that you suggested it, as it really was your Bahamas House and Tulum Ruins pieces that inspired me to make something a little more intense. I really appreciate it and cannot properly explain in this little text box how excited I am! Thank you!!
:iconpaperfetish:
I have to tell you, your comment that I inspired you was perhaps the greatest compliment I have ever received!

You are more than welcome, it is a great piece and deserved the daily deviation. I'm just really glad I got to be the one to suggest it!

I love your work! Did you learn the cutting techniques on your own or did you have a book to learn basic cuts and stuff?
:iconpaperfetish:
Thanks! I've learned mostly on my own. I did take a class in college that required us to make a paper sculpture, but I continued to work on my own and learned through trial and error.

Most of the sills are pretty basic: cutting, folding, scoring, curling. The challenge for me is pushing perspective to that it appears correct and to render different textures in a way that seems believable (that is where all the trials and errors come into play...).

Wow!! You have some really amazing work! We are just starting an origami and papercraft club, and i would like to invite you to be a part of our small, but slowly growing community. Its up to you of course, but we thought we would let you know about our club. Amazing work, once again. :)
